Destination X is my new book from Nobrow Press. I can’t wait to get my hands on a physical copy. It’s printed, and all set for its debut at [the Toronto Comics Arts Festival]. It’ll be in stores in June, and is available direct from Nobrow now.
(Added the links so you, too, can get a copy)
Vicki Nerino is my one of my favorite illustrators / artists. She will make you feel horrible about your body and all of its easily mocked dangly bits, and you will love her for doing it with so much humor and absurdity. If you’re in Toronto, you should go and see her at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival in May. If I were there, I certainly would!
VICKI NERINO is coming to TCAF!
“Vicki Nerino has a degree in Illustration (yes, that is actually a thing). By day, she is an office monkey drawing cute bubbly prints for kids and communicating with dudes and ladies on the other side of the globe for a kids clothing company…” - Full Bio at TCAF site

Big news! I had the thrill of creating an illustrated version of Abbott and Costello’s Who’s on First? for Quirk Books. The classic comedy routine was one of my favourite things ever as a kid, and just about the closest I ever came to caring about baseball. The book is out today! Here’s the cover and a few of my favourite spreads.

One of the farmers who expressed dismay at the [Canadian Wheat Board]’s cowgirl ad hedged his criticism by confessing “I’m not an advertising executive.” But the truth is that many people intuitively understand the other problems with sexist marketing images: they’re tired clichés, and they insult the intelligence of both men and women.

Fernando Reza, a graphic artist and designer based in Los Angeles, made a bunch of really cool retro travel posters for a bunch of locations based on the mythical beasts or cryptids who reside there, at least according to legend.
